Hours later as I was getting ready to go to the senior party that was being held by the school, I heard someone knock on my door. “Come in” I said as I finished putting on my makeup
I glanced towards the door when I heard it open and found Alex standing there with a smile on his face.
“What’s up” I asked as I walked around my room and picked up my things.
When I realized a minute later that Alex hadn’t said anything, I turned towards him and found him still staring at me “Alex? Is something wrong?”
That seemed to snap him out of it and he said “I was just thinking about how grown up you look”
Smiling, I sat on my bed and looking at him said “that’s because I am all grown up. I graduated from high school this morning, remember”
He laughed and said “One – graduating from high school doesn’t make you all grown up. And two – in my mind, you are still a 5 year old little kid who made Jack and my life miserable.
I laughed and leaned over to hug him “but you still love me. I might have tagged along with you both when you didn’t want me to but you both love me so you put up with it”
After talking for a few more minutes, we both headed downstairs so I could hang out with my family for an hour before heading to the party at 10. We all talked about the graduation party that my family was throwing for me tomorrow and what I planned on doing during the summer before starting my first year in college.

During the next few months, I spent a lot of time hanging out with Kevin as he slowly and painfully recovered. When the driver who had caused the accident’s trial came up, Kevin and I went to it together because his parents did not want to even see the man. Seeing the man go to jail for a long time went a long ways towards helping Kevin and Kayla get better.
By the time classes started in early September, Kevin was 100% better and exited for college to start.

Authors Note – I am ending the flash back here and the story is going to continue on from where I left the present on my 2nd post. I think that I have given all the back ground information that I should to understand what is going to be happening next. If I did miss something, I’ll make it up as I go.
Another thing is I was to thank you all for being so patient with me as I figured out all the things that have been going on in my life. Everything is starting to settle down and I am finally better from that stubborn cold that I had. I am going to go back to the original schedule and try to make up as much time as I can. Thank you sticking with me.

Glad you're back. I like the layout, except the large "title block" I guess it's called. The blue fabric is pretty, but I would not want it so wide. Guess that's why it's your blog, huh?
ReplyDeleteI really like Alex. I think he's crushing on the girl he always saw as a little sister. At least we know your parents would approve! Looking forward to the story progressing. mum
I'm trying to fix how wide the title pic is but I can't figure out how to. If anyone can help me figure it out, it would be greatly appreciated. And as for Alex and Rory, all I can say is...read on....lol
